Maya Michele Fein fell in love with tango in 2008 after a lifetime of trying other dances including ballet, modern, tap, jazz, hip hop, belly dancing, latin, swing, ballroom and more. For her, tango is about connection and expression. She passionally believes anyone can learn to dance and tango, in particular, is very organic.

She's had an eclectic tango education which ranges from many types of tango including milonguero, salon, and nuevo from instructors across the US as well as her studies in Argentina. She is a melting pot of tango, which allows her to individualize tango to what is most comfortable and natural to each student. She is Vice President, Co-founder, and an instructor at NuTango. This workshop is a dream come true as she's worked hard provide more opportunities for all to learn and be inspired by the magic that is tango!

In her 'real life' Maya is primarily a lighting designer for theatre, opera, and dance, but also works as a soccer referee, international high school exchange student coordinator, and theatre instructor.
